What to Bring to Camp

Resident

  • 4 towels
  • 6 pairs of shorts
  • 6 pairs of socks
  • 6 t-shirts
  • 6 pairs of underwear
  • 2 pairs of shoes/sandals
  • 4 swim suits
  • 1 pillow
  • 1 pair of jeans
  • 2 cans of SPF30 sunscreen
  • 1 blanket
  • 1 pair of old tennis shoes
  • 1 set of bed sheets (twin)
  • hat(s)
  • toiletries

Day

It is best for day campers to bring the below mentioned items on their person or in a backpack to camp every day:

  • 1 towel
  • 1 pair of shorts
  • 2 pair of socks
  • 2 t-shirts
  • 2 pair of underwear
  • 1 pair of shoes
  • 2 swim suits
  • 1 SPF30 sunscreen
  • 1 pair of sandals/flip flops
  • 1 hat

Campers may bring fishing gear, ski equipment, skateboard, rip stick, tennis racket, helmet, knee/elbow pads, and disposable camera. In order to participate in skateboarding/rip sticking campers must wear appropriate safety equipment (helmet and knee/elbow pads).

Campers are assigned laundry numbers before the start of camp. His/Her laundry number must be marked in all of his clothes and other items brought to Camp. A permanent marker or iron-on/stick on label must be used. It should be clearly visible so we can do our best to return any lost items. Please do not bring good clothes or other expensive items. It’s impossible for our staff to keep track of these items. Camp Stanislaus is not responsible for lost items. However, there is a “Lost and Found” at Camp, and it is a sight to see on closing days.

What NOT to Bring to Camp

  • cell phone
  • flashlight
  • body piercing jewelry
  • desk lamp
  • refrigerator
  • bike
  • laser pointer
  • computer
  • electronics (i.e. TV, radios, iPods, etc.)
  • alarm clock
  • 2-way radios
  • music with inappropriate language
  • scooters

Some of the items listed above will be picked up and returned to the campers at the end of the session. Please do not bring these items to camp since they hinder the overall camp experience.

NOT ALLOWED at Camp

  • Alcohol
  • Illegal drugs
  • Guns/weapons
  • Tobacco
  • Knives
  • Fireworks
  • Pornography
  • Cigarettes

In order to ensure a safe and positive environment for all of the campers and staff, Camp Stanislaus maintains a zero tolerance level with regard to the above-mentioned items. Possession of any of the above items may result in immediate expulsion from Camp Stanislaus. There are no refunds of the Camp fee if a camper is expelled for this.
