Hello Camp Stanislaus Family,
After much prayer and consideration, I regret to inform you that the Camp Stanislaus Board of Directors has decided to cancel camp this summer. Please know that this was an extremely difficult decision for the board to make and was not taken lightly. The board made this decision out of an abundance of caution to protect our campers, their families, our staff, and everyone else involved with Camp Stanislaus.
Personally, I am heartbroken that I will not be able to share Camp Stanislaus with campers and staff this summer. Summers at camp are all I have known for the past 11 years. It will be difficult not seeing campers smiling at check-in, swimming in the bay, learning to ski, forming lifelong friendships and so much more. Knowing that God has a plan, I will take this time to engage in more professional development, which will help make camp 2021 the best one yet.
As you probably know, not having camp sessions this summer will cause significant adjustments to operations. Many of you have already paid deposits and payments for the 2020 summer sessions. We have amended our refund policy in 2020 to include the ability to receive a full refund. We understand many of you may need the refund during this difficult time. However, if you are able, we ask that you consider one of the other two options listed below as a way of helping camp. Camp incurs many expenses well in advance of the campers’ arrival. Any help you can provide to offset this loss is greatly appreciated.
Please complete the 2020 Camp Cancellation Form at your earliest convenience. Your options are listed below:
Apply your payment(s) for summer camp 2021. By choosing this option, you will receive 2020 summer camp rates with a guaranteed spot for your camper next summer. You must register during the special early registration period. A special keepsake will also accompany this option.
Request a full refund of all payments. (we will start to process refunds May 18th).
Donate all or a portion of your campers’ payment(s) to camp. If you have the means to consider this option, know your donation is 100% tax deductible. A special keepsake will also accompany this option.
2020 Camper Shirts
Many of you have already ordered special shirts for this summer. We are still planning on placing an order. Please note there is a place on the 2020 camp cancellation form to indicate if you are completing or canceling your order. If you would like your shirt mailed, there will be a $2 per shirt shipping charge.
We are disappointed that we will not get to see everyone this summer, but we pray that you and your loved ones stay happy and healthy. If you have any questions or we can help in anyway please don’t hesitate to contact the camp office.
