From our Parents – Greetings from Alaska

In this blog post, we hear from Rob Picou about his sons time and growth at Camp Stanislaus.

Jodi and I want to express our deepest appreciation for all the hard work the Camp Stanislaus team did with my son, Will.  The transformation we have witnessed in Will is nothing short of miraculous.  He is demonstrating and incredible level of self-confidence that we are certain is due in no small part to his experience at Camp Stanislaus.  We found the staff to be consistently courteous and conscientious.  Each and every staff member was an exemplary role model for our son.  In this world of media saturation, it is getting harder and harder for parents to keep their children focused on positive life habits.  I can say unequivocally that Camp Stanislaus helped our son realize what we as parents continuously emphasize, that there is more to life than video games and television.

Thank you for helping our son develop a deeper understanding of spirituality and for instilling leadership traits that will last his entire life.  In addition, thank you for acting as a conduit for friendships that he will also hopefully have for a very long time.  If you ask Will he is a Rock-A-Chaw!  His definition of a Rock-A-Chaw:  “The smallest thing in the world, but it can take down a giant.”

Thank You,

Rob Picou

Already looking forward to next summer!
