Joe Sylve"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table alignleft\"><table><tbody><tr><td><br>Joe Sylve had the opportunity to serve at Camp Stanislaus starting in 2002 as a CIT.&nbsp; He served a total of 8 years in various positions. The last two being the 5th lay Camp Director.&nbsp; Throughout his many years working camp, Joe said he learned responsibility, consistency, leadership and eventually business development.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>Joe left Camp Stanislaus in 2011 to continue his higher education and start a business.&nbsp; Joe now has his Ph.D in Engineering and Applied Science (Computer Science) from the University of New Orleans.&nbsp; The business he started was sold to the company he currently works for, BlackBag technologies where he currently serves as Director of Research and Development.&nbsp; Joe also serves as an adjunct professor at UNO where he teaches a class each semester. It all started with countless days of pier-pier at Camp Stanislaus.<br><br>Joe said \u201cCamp\u2019s motto of \u2018a lifetime of memories and friendships\u2019 has rang true for me.&nbsp; After nearly 20 years, I am still close to many friends that I have met at camp. I\u2019ve stood in camp weddings. I\u2019ve been to camp funerals.&nbsp; I plan on sending my son, Joey to camp and hope it affects his life in the many positive ways that camp has touched mine.\u201d&nbsp; We are looking forward to sharing camp with Joey in a few years.<br><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joe Sylve had the opportunity to serve at Camp Stanislaus starting in 2002 as a CIT.&nbsp; He served a total of 8 years in various positions.
