Michael Reso had the opportunity to serve at Camp Stanislaus starting in 1989 as a counselor. He worked every summer through 1994 and then returned in 1998 and 1999 as an assistant director. Michael served as Camp Director from 2002 – 2005. He also served as the President of Camp Stanislaus from 2006 – 2008 during the difficult rebuilding time after Hurricane Katrina. He received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Loyola University New Orleans. Michael currently lives in Diamondhead, Mississippi with his wife Melissa and daughters Madison and Kaitlyn. He currently works as the City Manager for the City of Diamondhead. His experiences from camp are used daily which include: staying on schedule, learning about commitment, and most importantly, learned management skills in working and leading a staff. Michael said “Camp is one of the best experiences of my life. I made my best friends while working camp and enjoyed working with the campers. I also miss working closely with the Brothers: BNL, TWO, RAY, BJD, BDK, BLB and so many more that touched my life.” |
